This course explores the social, economic, and political development of the United States from precontact to the present. Students examine key people, groups, issues, trends, and events that shaped American identity, culture, and global influence while applying historical thinking and inquiry skills.
Prerequisite: Canadian History since World War I, Grade 10, Academic or Applied
This course examines current Canadian and international economic issues, policies, and practices from multiple perspectives. Students investigate decisions made by individuals, businesses, and governments in response to issues such as globalization, trade, inequality, regulation, public spending, growth, sustainability, and economic trade-offs.
Prerequisite: Any university or university/college preparation course in Canadian and world studies, English, or social sciences and humanities
